Meet Our Executive Director – Amanda Hayes

Amanda brings a strong background in organizational leadership and youth hockey administration, combined with a passion for creating outstanding experiences for players and families. Since joining hockey leadership, she has overseen association operations, financial management, communications, registration, scheduling, fundraising, tournaments and player development initiatives while helping grow participation and strengthen youth hockey throughout Northwest Montana.

Amanda's hockey journey began as a dedicated hockey parent and volunteer before serving as a team manager, program administrator and advancing into executive leadership. Her experience working alongside coaches, players, volunteers, and families has shaped her commitment to building a positive, development-focused hockey community.

As Executive Director, Amanda is dedicated to ensuring every player—from Learn to Play through high school hockey—has the opportunity to grow in an environment that emphasizes development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the game.

Meet Our Hockey Director – Brandon Cottrell

Brandon brings an extensive playing background and a passion for developing athletes both on and off the ice. A former player in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), Maritime Hockey League (MHL), and semi-professional hockey, Brandon has trained alongside former NHL players and coaches, experiences that have shaped his development-first coaching philosophy.

Brandon has served as Head Coach of the Flathead Fusion Varsity program for the last 5 years and has helped numerous athletes advance to AAA, Junior, and collegiate hockey. He holds USA Hockey Level 4 Coaching Education Program (CEP) certification and is committed to continual growth as a coach, mentor, and leader. Additionally, he has served as the Hockey Director for the Flathead Valley Hockey Association for the last 2 years and has been committed to building hockey opportunities in Northwest Montana.

As Hockey Director, Brandon is dedicated to helping every player reach their full potential by building strong fundamentals, hockey IQ, leadership, and character while fostering a positive, competitive culture that supports long-term player development.
